
Metrohm Young Chemist Award eligibility requirements & general rules:
- This contest open to undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate or PhD students, enrolled at an academic institution located in North America at the time of submission.
- North America residency required: eligible contestants must reside in the United States or Canada at the time of submission and through March 2023.
- The chosen winning research will be presented at PITTCON 2023.
- Your work must demonstrate novel research or an innovative approach to the applications of titration, ion chromatography, spectroscopy and/or electrochemistry, and must be substantially complete by the date of submission.
- An abstract of your work must be submitted online with detailed contact information and received by January 6th, 2023.
- Metrohm USA is not responsible for any costs or problems in transmitting entries.
- An objective panel of Metrohm USA applications experts, whose decision is final and binding, will choose one winner by February 15th, 2023.
- Metrohm USA will alert the winner by phone or email, as provided by the entrant at the time of abstract submission.
- Metrohm USA will provide the winner with transportation, lodging and entry (for one) to the PITTCON 2023 exhibition; costs for any travel companion(s) and all incidentals (as well as award taxes) are the responsibility of the winner.
- The winner will present his/her work at a designated date/time (to be determined) at PITTCON, and be celebrated at a special event held one evening during the week of the exhibition. Should the winner not agree to fulfill these presentation obligations, he/she, therefore, forfeits eligibility and a new winner will be chosen.
- This contest is not open to any Metrohm employees, nor to family members or affiliates of Metrohm employees.
- Metrohm USA is solely responsible for this contest and award.
